It’s always a good idea to remove your make-up before sleep

No matter how tired you are, it’s always a good idea to remove your make-up before settling in for your beauty sleep.

Many of the products you use on your face can clog pores if left overnight, and before you know it, you’ve got another spot – or ten. A simple, quick bedtime cleansing ritual can spell the difference between breakouts and clearer skin.

Step 1: Wipe off eye make-up.

Mascara and eyeliner are usually the toughest to wash away, so use a liquid or cream remover made specifically for your eyes, first. Use a cotton pad to gently wipe off your make-up, taking care not to scrub the sensitive skin around your eyes.

Step 2: Wash away the rest.

Once you’ve cleared your eye make-up, wet your face and gently massage some face wash onto your skin. Don’t forget to cover your hairline and jawline, especially if you use foundation. Let the face wash sit for about 15 seconds before washing it off. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
