How to manage sensitive skin
Do you suffer from sensitive skin? Read on to find out about the signs of sensitive skin and ways to calm and soothe your skin.
How do I know if I have sensitive skin?
You could have sensitive skin if it reacts when it comes into contact with certain skin care or household products. Your skin may feel sore, tight or uncomfortable and you may experience a tingling or burning sensation. The skin’s appearance could also change becoming red or blotchy or you could develop small bumps on the skin or very dry patches. If you experience a range of these symptoms regularly it may be worth speaking to your GP or Pharmacist.
Sensitive skin care
If you do suffer from sensitive skin, using products that are specially developed for your skin type is essential to keeping the symptoms at bay. Many people have different skincare needs across different areas of their face, so it’s absolutely possible to have sensitive or dry skin in some areas and suffer from spots in others. Using CLEAN & CLEAR® to treat sensitive skin
Dermatologists agree that the best way to treat sensitive skin is to be as gentle as possible. Look for products that specifically say ‘sensitive’ or ‘gentle’ on the labels. For everyday cleansing, why not try our CLEAN & CLEAR® Deep Cleansing Lotion Sensitive or our CLEAN & CLEAR® Truly Gentle 3 in 1 Facial Wipes, both of which are suited to sensitive skin.
If your skin is prone to spots and you also suffer from sensitive skin then our CLEAN & CLEAR® Clear & Soothe ADVANTAGE® range provides a great solution for your skin needs. Both the CLEAN & CLEAR® ADVANTAGE® Clear & Soothe Foaming Wash and the CLEAN & CLEAR®ADVANTAGE® Clear & Soothe Daily Scrub contain Aloe Vera and a known spot-fighting ingredient (salicylic acid) to be tough on spots but gentle on sensitive skin. The exfoliating beads within the scrub will target your spots as it works deep into your pores and removes excess dirt, oil and dead skin.
